Abstract

The invention relates to a system and method for achieving communication with multiple identical MAC network terminals in a local area network. The system comprises a plurality of target network terminals with identical MAC addresses, request network terminals with different MAC addresses, a network converter and a VLAN switch. The request network terminals are used for sending communication requests to the target network terminals specified to be in communication, the network converter is used for converting initial target MAC addresses into the MAC addresses corresponding to the target network terminals specified to be in the communication and adding VLAN information according to the number of the target network terminals specified to be in the communication, and the VLAN switch is used for stripping the adding VLAN information from communication request message data after the conversion of the network converter and for sending the communication request to the target network terminals specified to be in the communication. The system and method for achieving the communication with the identical MAC network terminals in the local area network of the structure are adopted, the technical problem of the communication with the network terminals with the identical MAC addresses in the local area network can be solved, conflict caused by the identical MAC addresses cannot occur, and the system and method have a wider application range.
