Problems solved by technology

[0004] Most of the research on precoding is based on the assumption that the channel state information is completely known at the transmitter. However, in many MIMO systems, the uplink and downlink channels do not have reciprocity. For example, in the FDD system, the transmitter can only pass However, due to limited spectrum resources, the feedback channel can only provide a limited number of feedback bits during the coherence time of the channel

Example Embodiment

[0022] The present invention intends to provide a method for selecting a multi-input multi-output spatial multiplexing precoding matrix, which is used in a wireless communication system using closed-loop MIMO precoding method to improve communication performance by using a limited number of feedback bits, which mainly includes the following steps :

[0023] (101) Based on the principle of maximizing the two-norm minimum distance of the projection of the subspace, a set of precoding codebooks known to both the transmitter and the receiver are defined in advance;

[0024] (102) Store the precoding codebook in the transmitter and receiver;

[0025] (103) The receiver obtains the current channel information according to the pilot estimation, including the channel state information and the signal-to-noise ratio information of the current channel, and minimizes or maximizes the capacity or minimizes the determinant of the mean square error matrix. In principle, select a precoding matrix fr

Abstract

The invention discloses a selection method of MIMO spatial multiplexing precoding matrix, which mainly includes the following steps: firstly, pre-define a set of precoding codebook with known transmitter and a receiver; store the precoding codebook in the transmitter and the receiver; the receiver selects a precoding matrix from the pre-defined precoding codebook, according to the prior channel information by estimation. The receiver feedbacks selected precoding matrix index to the transmitter by a feedback channel in channel coherence time. The transmitter determines the prior selected precoding matrix, according to the received precoding matrix index. The invention utilizes limited feedback bit number to improve communication performance.
