The invention discloses a data transferring system and a data transferring method of an intelligent metering device. The data transferring system comprises a plurality of intelligent metering devices, power supplies embedded in all the intelligent metering devices, a data acquisition module, a data transmission module, wireless terminal equipment adaptive to the intelligent metering devices in the same area, and a remote monitoring host, wherein the power supplies supply power to the data acquisition module and the data transmission module, the data acquisition module acquires data of the intelligent metering devices, the data transmission module can transmit the data to the wireless terminal equipment wirelessly in a close range, and the wireless terminal equipment transmits the data to the remote monitoring host in a master control room wirelessly and remotely, and the remote monitoring host is used for recording and processing data. The data transferring method comprises the steps of presetting the meter reading time by the data transmission module, acquiring data of all meters in the same network segment in a time-phased manner by the data acquisition module, and transmitting the data to the wireless terminal equipment by the data transmission module in a close range, and remotely transmitting the data to the monitoring host wirelessly by the wireless terminal equipment for recording and processing.
