Abstract

The invention relates to a forecasting-based navigation assisting method which comprises the following steps: collecting position and speed of a vehicle and lane information on a road; calculating an expected driving direction of the vehicle according to the presently collected position, speed and lane information; comparing the expected driving direction of the vehicle with a present navigation route and forecasting a deviating direction of the vehicle; re-planning the navigation route on the basis of the forecast deviating direction for standing by; using the re-planned navigation route for supplying route guidance to the user when the vehicle practically deviates from the present navigation route. The additional consumption for re-planning the route is not required and the route guidance is not interrupted, so that the driving safety of the user is promoted.
