Abstract

The invention discloses an access request forwarding method and system, and relates to the field of data communication. The method particularly comprises the steps of: a first port of first switchingequipment receives a request for accessing a server and the request is sent to a first port of second switching equipment by a second port of the first switching equipment; and the second switching equipment selects a corresponding outlet port to forward the request according to a load balancing principle. The access request forwarding method and system achieve a load balancing function of a server cluster by a two-layer VLAN technology, are simple and flexible in configuration and have very good expandability and maintainability.
