The method comprises steps of acquiring multiple frames of preview images and at least one frame of current shot image, wherein the exposure of the multiple frames of preview images is different from the exposure of the current shot image, de-noising the multiple frames of preview images to generate at least one frame of de-noised preview image. and fusing the at least one frame of denoised preview image and the at least one frame of currently shot image to generate an HDR image. As the denoised preview image is obtained by processing through the multi-frame denoising algorithm, the multi-frame denoising algorithm is combined with the HDR algorithm in the process of fusing the denoised preview image and the current shot image. Due to the fact that the multi-frame denoising algorithm can well improve the definition of the image, the definition of the finally generated HDR image is improved while the waiting time of a user is not delayed.
