Electronic Devices With Retractable Displays

An electronic device may have a pair of elongated housings. A flexible display may be placed in a first position in which the display is retracted within one of the housings and a second position in which the flexible display is deployed and extends between the housings in a planar shape for viewing by a user. Support structures such as rigid slats that run parallel to the housings and bistable slats that run perpendicular to the rigid slats may be used to support the flexible display. Speakers, microphones, cameras, and other components can be mounted in the housings. The housings may be held together using magnets and may contain electrical components such as integrated circuits, batteries, and other devices. The components may be mounted on printed circuit boards that rotate within a rotating roller around which the display is wrapped when retracted.

Systems for monitoring proximity to prevent loss or to assist recovery

A portable proximity alarm apparatus comprising a Bluetooth system and an alarm monitors the presence of a portable electronic device equipped with a compatible transceiver within range and alarms when that device leaves its range. On detecting disconnection, the proximity alarm automatically tries to reconnect. A portable proximity alarm apparatus with an optional voice mode allows to additionally use the unit as a headset when an earpiece is folded. A portable proximity alarm apparatus with relay functionality allows using a Bluetooth headset and proximity alarm functions unobtrusively on most mobile phones.

Method and apparatus for use in remote diagnostics

The present invention provides an apparatus, system and method for use in remotely diagnosing electronic devices and / or providing content. The method for use in remotely diagnosing includes the initiating a diagnostic analysis of an electronic device, identifying the electronic device, receiving scripts communicated over a distributed network for diagnosing, remotely initiating diagnostic instructions with the scripts and receiving a response based on the instruction. The method can further determine further diagnostic instructions based on responses, and remotely initiate further instructions with the scripts. Additionally, a system for use in remotely diagnosing electronic devices includes a script generator coupled with a distributed network, and a remote diagnostic controller coupled with the distributed network and with an electronic device. The script generator compiles scripts and forwards them over the distributed network. The diagnostic controller implements the scripts to forward instructions to and to receive replies from the electronic device.

Extension mechanism

A system and method for executing a user agent in an electronic device. Upon each startup of the user agent, the electronic device loads binary code of a base version of the user agent into memory, and determines whether a binary patch has previously been downloaded. If the patch has been downloaded, it is applied to the base version and the updated base version is executed. The binary patch may be downloaded from a server, which compiles the binary patch on the basis of stored source code of the base version and stored source code of one or more enhancements selected by the electronic device.

Text recognition method and device, electronic equipment and medium

PendingCN111723575ACharacter and pattern recognitionNatural language data processingText recognitionWord list
The invention discloses a text recognition method and device, electronic equipment and a medium. According to the invention, the method comprises the steps of: performing entity feature recognition onthe target text by using a pre-trained deep learning model to obtain a candidate name entity list, and matching the candidate name entity list with multiple pieces of name information in the enterprise name library one by one to obtain at least one matching result, thereby taking the candidate name entity, higher than the hit matching rate, in the at least one matching result as a name entity obtained by identifying the target text. By applying the technical scheme, name entities possibly existing in the text can be extracted by adopting the deep learning model, a part of entities with identification errors are filtered out by utilizing the filtering word list to serve as candidate company entities, and the candidate companies correspond to the specific enterprise name libraries by meansof the enterprise name libraries and the enterprise entity mapping tables. Therefore, the problem that the efficiency of extracting the effective name entity from the text is very low in the prior artis avoided.
