The invention provides a cable routing box for an intelligent electronic device of a substation. A plurality of metal ends grounded nearby in multiple modes are arranged on the outer wall of a box body of the routing box, a metal groove is formed in each of two side walls of the box body, a shielding reed is arranged in each metal groove, and two side walls of an upper cover plate are paint-free naked metal. Compared with the prior art, the cable routing box for an intelligent electronic device of a substation obviously weakens the direct influence of transient enclosure voltage rise in a distributed grounding mode, greatly reduces transient current excited thereon, and then reduces disturbance voltage induced on internal cables; the routing box is easy to install and maintain to special structural design of the box body, and the shielding effect of the cable routing box is improved while the influence of enclosure ground potential rise of a GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) on the cable of the intelligent electronic device is reduced.
