1 results about "Dry season" patented technology

The dry season is a yearly period of low rainfall, especially in the tropics. The weather in the tropics is dominated by the tropical rain belt, which moves from the northern to the southern tropics and back over the course of the year. The tropical rain belt lies in the southern hemisphere roughly from October to March; during that time the northern tropics have a dry season with sparser precipitation, and days are typically sunny throughout. From April to September, the rain belt lies in the northern hemisphere, and the southern tropics have their dry season. Under the Köppen climate classification, for tropical climates, a dry season month is defined as a month when average precipitation is below 60 millimetres (2.4 in).

The invention discloses a construction method of a box-type building block revetment capable of collecting rainwater. The construction method comprises the following steps that (1) a bank slope is trimmed; (2) a concrete slope toe is poured, and then box-type building blocks are assembled; (3) water permeable plates with water-absorbing cotton ropes are mounted at the communicating positions of an upper cavity and a lower cavity of each building block, and one ends of the water-absorbing cotton ropes extend into the bottoms of the lower cavities; (4) geotextile, a broken stone hardcore and planting soil with grass seeds are sequentially laid on each water permeable plate from bottom to top, and the other ends of the water-absorbing cotton ropes are buried in the planting soil; (5) a condensation cover plate covers the top faces of the upper cavities; and (6) concrete is poured for coping, and construction is completed. The box-type building blocks which are simple in structure, low in cost and easy to assemble are used, the revetment is formed by assembling tenon-and-mortise structures on the left sides and the right sides of the box-type building blocks, the revetment is low in maintenance cost, rainwater can be collected in the rainy season so that vegetation can grow in the dry season, the anti-scouring performance of the revetment is high, the ecological landscape function is good, and the revetment can serve as an ecological building block revetment for permanent slope protection.
