The invention discloses a method for using
XML to indicate characters by combination codes. Combination codes are used to display a plurality of independent-coding graphic characters, so as to lead the traditional character display method based on one code corresponding to one
bitmap to be more flexible. The combination code works as an independent code, does not store characters, and only stores code information of reference characters, so that a plurality of existing independent codes can be utilized to combine to a new character, and new character creation is not needed, thereby improving the flexibility of character combination and reducing the labor of character creation repetition.
