Benefits of technology

The technical feature described by this new version of technology compared to previous versions makes it more efficient than older designs.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving the reception performance and efficiency of Mobile Network Interfaces (Mobile Nodes). Specifically, current methods like TCP protocol or HTTP streaming suffer limitations due to their latency and delay issues. Therefore there exists a new solution called MultiMedia Broadcast Over Cellular System - Multiple Access Group Communication Technology ("MABC").

Embodiment Construction

[0031] In order to make the purpose, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the following will further describe the implementation of the present invention in detail in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0032] The first embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for sending and receiving MBMS services, such as figure 2 shown.

[0033] In step 210, when the terminal needs to use the MBMS service, it initiates an RRC connection request (RRC CONNECTION REQUEST) to the RNC on the network side, and the request carries the reason value "Previous UE MBMS Reception" indicating that the terminal has no MBMS service capability.

[0034] Wherein, the cause value (CAUSE) "Previous UE MBMS Reception" is newly added on the basis of the existing protocol in this embodiment. The cause value (Cause for an RRC connection establishment request) of the existing RRC connection establishment request in the existing protocol is shown in Table 1, a

Abstract

The invention relates to the wireless communication field and discloses a MBMS transceiving method and a device thereof to integrate a terminal which does not support the MBMS characteristics into the MBMS. In the invention, a network side receives a message indicating the MBMS selected by the terminal from the terminal and identifying carrying methods used by the MBMS selected by the terminal, and if PTM is used by the MBMS, the terminal is reconfigured to be in CELL_FACH status and the data of the MBMS is distributed by FACH. A DCH carrier is established by the network side for the terminal and the data of the MBMS is distributed by DCH if PTP is the carrying method used by the MBMS selected by the terminal.
