AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

The invention relates to an improved way for controlling remotely-controlled devices such as power generators by means of electrical wires connected thereto. This allows users to control these things from anywhere within their home without having physical contact with them.

Problems solved by technology

This technical problem addressed in this patents describes how to integrate remote communication functionality (RCI) within electronic equipment without adding extra hardware such as buttons or dial indicators. Additionally, current methods require complicated assembly processes due to potential errors caused during manufacturing.

Embodiment Construction

[0035] The surge arrester shown in the figure comprises a connection and base part 1 for accommodating a pluggable surge arrester 2 . The pluggable surge arrester 2 can have, for example, a varistor as protective element, in which a spring-loaded disconnect device 3 is present.

[0036] The disconnecting device 3 can be designed as a thermal disconnecting device, in which the solder ensures the electrical contact, but in the event of a fault the contact connection is detached due to the melting point of the solder.

[0037] The disconnecting device 3 interacts with a visual function display device 4 , which is designed as a pivotable clip in the example shown. In the example shown, the pivot axis 5 of the visual function indicator extends in the lower third of the pluggable surge arrester 2 .

[0038] as by comparing figure 1 and figure 2 It can be seen that in the case of failure ( figure 2 ) brings about a movement of the visible function display device 4 in the direction

Abstract

The invention relates to a connection and base part for accommodating a pluggable surge arrester, comprising a base (13) and a U-shaped part (17), which is connected or can be connected to the base (13) and has guide and/or latching means for accommodating the complementarily designed surge arrester on the mutually facing limb inner sides, a telecommunication switch (11), which is inserted in the base (13), with connections (21) passed to the outside and an actuating device, which is connected to the telecommunication switch (11) and has a plunger (8), which is accessible via a cutout in the limb connecting section of the U-shaped part (17) in order to be operatively connected to a function display, a thermal release or another monitoring device of the pluggable surge arrester. According to the invention, a connecting link-type, groove-shaped guide (12) is introduced in the base (13) and has a continuously arcuate or arcuate/linear profile, wherein the guide (12) extends between the plunger (8) and the telecommunication switch (11). Furthermore, an actuating rail (9), whose form is similar to that of the connecting link, is inserted into the guide, wherein this actuating rail, with an integral design, has the plunger (8) and an areal part (10) for activating the telecommunication switch (11).
