Benefits of technology

This patented technology improves how many transmissions can be made by each unit (antenna) on an airborne communication device called radio). It also includes methods for determining if certain parts or sections have been sent more than necessary without actually sending them out over time. By comparing these data points it helps improve signal quality even when there may only one part needs being received at once instead of multiple times. Overall this results in better overall performance and reduced errors caused during flight operations due to poor reception levels from other sources like noise signals.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed in this patents relates to finding good methods and techniques used during encoding algorithms designed specifically for low signal loss rates while also being able to achieve excellent spectral efficiencies at both large numbers of transmitter/receiver devices and smaller differences in their gains compared to traditional spatial codes such as STC.

Embodiment Construction

[0016] figure 1 A flow chart of the layered space-time code encoding method in the present invention is shown. The encoding method uses some antennas in all transmitting end antennas for symbol transmission, and carries part of the transmission bit information through the number of the transmitting antenna. The method includes the following steps:

[0017] Step 101, for all N at the transmitting end of the MIMO system t = 2 N The root transmit antenna is numbered, and the number of the i-th antenna is I_N t (i), i=0,1,L,2 N -1, the binary representation of the number is [I_N t (i)] 2 .

[0018] Step 102, determine the number n of antennas actually used by the transmitting end for symbol transmission t = 2 n , where 0≤n

[0019] Step 103, from the bit sequence to be sent, read n t = 2 n A bit group of length (N-n+m), and number the bit group, where M=2 m is the modulation order adopted by the system, then the number of the jth bit group is I_n t (j), j=0,1,L,2 n -

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for coding a layered space-time code and a system thereof. The method comprises the following steps of: coding all the 2transmitting antennas of the transmitting end of a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system; ensuring the number 2of the transmitting antennas of the transmitting end practical for transmitting a symbol, wherein, n is equal or greater than 0 and less than N; reading 2bit group with (N-n+m) length in a bit sequence which is to be transmitted, and coding the bit group; coding the bit group code and jointly forming into a binary sequence A with the (N-n) bit in the bit group, mapping the other m bit in the bit group into a symbol sj by M=2level modulation, and mapping the symbol sj to the transmitting antenna which is coded to be A; and judging whether the nt=2bit group has been mapped, if not, continuously executing the last step, otherwise, transmitting the symbol by 2 antennas which are mapped with the symbol by the transmitting end. Under the premise that spectrum effectiveness is invariable, the invention effectively improves the diversity order of the MIMO system so as to improve testing performance and reduce testing complexity.
