Benefits of technology

This technology allows multiple networks or channels to work together more efficiently by establishing connections across different devices at once without interfering each others' signals. It also improves overall security against attacks from outside sources like hackers that may compromise systems.

Problems solved by technology

Technics aim at improving the performance of internet multicast systems while ensuring secure connections during failures without compromising their overall effectiveness. Specifically, technical problem addressed involves optimizing resource usage efficiency and maximized use of available resources within each link group simultaneously despite failure conditions.

Embodiment Construction

[0032] The specific implementation manner of the present invention will be described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0033] For ease of understanding, in figure 1 An IP network is given in , and the method of the present invention will be described below based on the IP network. figure 1 The IP network in includes two hosts A and B and multiple transit nodes RN11, RN21, RN22, RN31, RN32, and RN33, and hosts A and B have only one interface. exist figure 1 The physical link connection between the routers in the figure is just an illustration, which is used to illustrate that the hosts A, B and the transit nodes are reachable by IP routes, that is, they all have direct IP paths.

[0034] for figure 1 The shown IP network adopts the SCTP protocol which realizes multi-path communication by supporting multi-homed hosts. Between hosts A and B, in addition to the direct path AB between AB, three overlapping paths can also be selected:

Abstract

The invention provides a method for implementing multi-path communications between host computers with single network interfaces, which is used for implementing the multi-path communications between a first host computer with the single network interface and a second host computer with the single network interface on a communication network. The communication network is based on a network protocol supporting the multi-path communications between multihomed host computers. The method comprises that: the first host computer transmits a network message for establishing a connection to the secondhost computer, wherein an IP address parameter domain of the network message comprises IP addresses of a virtual network interface and a real network interface of the first host computer; a transfer node processes the network message according to a forwarding policy; the second host computer receives and records the network message, and returns a response message through the same path, wherein the IP address parameter domain of the response message comprises the IP addresses of the virtual network interface and the real network interface of the second host computer; and the first host computer receives and records the response message, and then transmits other messages required by establishing the connection to the second host computer again according to the network protocol until the connection between the two host computers is established.
