A system and method for “on-the-fly” de-duplication of data before storing the data in a storage system is provided. A data de-duplication module illustratively cooperates with protocol servers and a file system of a storage operating system executing on the storage system to implement the novel de-duplication technique. The de-duplication module illustratively generates a block store, an index file and a hash table on storage space provided by the storage system. The hash table is utilized for tracking fingerprints and locations of blocks within the block store. The index file is utilized for storing directory information identifying the contents of data containers stored on the storage system, while the block store is utilized to store raw data blocks that comprise the data containers.

A system of processing map images includes a Web Mapping Service (WMS) for storing map images. A WMS proxy is operative with the WMS and receives from a client a request for a map image for display at the client. A WMS proxy includes a tile broker module that converts the request for the map image into a series of requests for obtaining map tiles. A cache system that stores the map tiles. The tile broker module is operative for returning cached map tiles if they already exist within the cache and retrieving map tiles from the WMS if map tiles are not returned from the cache. A system, method and computer readable medium for providing a snapshot of a subset of a file system. A first snapshot of a first set of source files in a file system is generated. The first snapshot includes an inode corresponding to each source file in the first set of files. Stored in each inode is a first identifier associated with the first set of files and a second identifier associated with the time of the first snapshot. Next, a second snapshot of a second set of source files is taken. The second snapshot includes an inode corresponding to each source file in the second set of files. Stored in each inode are a first identifier and a second identifier. Subsequent snapshots are taken every first period and every second period for the first set of files and the second set of files, respectively.

A system and methods for utilizing advanced automated search techniques including highlighting capability for determining subsets of relevant content data (in paper or electronic form) is disclosed. These techniques are advantageous in reviewing vast collections of content data or documents to identify relevant data or documents from the collections. The advanced search techniques are based on query terms, which isolate relevant content data that respond to the query terms. A probability of relevancy can be determined for a unit of content data or document in the returned subset to facilitate exclusion of a document from the subset if it does not reach a threshold probability of relevancy. Documents in a thread of a correspondence (for example, an e-mail) in the responsive documents subset can be added to the responsive documents subset. Further, an attachment to a document in the responsive documents subset can be added to the responsive documents subset. A statistical technique is applied to determine whether remaining documents in the collection meet a predetermined acceptance level.

A data element can be encoded into multiple encoded data elements using an encoding algorithm that includes an encoding function and one or more encoder constant. The encoded data elements can be organized into multiple pillars, each having a respective pillar number. Each of the pillars is sent to a different storage unit of a distributed storage network. To recover the original data element, the encoded data elements are retrieved from storage, and the encoder constant is recovered using multiple encoded data elements. Recovering the encoder constant allows the encoding algorithm originally used to encode the data elements to be determined, and used to recover the original data element. The local agent identifies and integrates with an interprocess communication (IPC) mechanism on the host computer system. The local agent implements an IPC interception mechanism to direct local database access attempts to the local agent, which then forwards the intercepted attempts to the data security device for further analysis. The network data security device therefore observes local access attempts via interception and transmission to the data security device, thereby consolidating analysis and logging of the data access attempts via the data security device.

In various implementations, a conversation between two or more users may be hosted by a communications tool, where the conversation generates text included in a conversation thread. Context attributes may be extracted from the generated text. The context attributes may describe interactions and data objects associated with one or more entities. One or more scores may be assigned to the extracted context attributes based on the contents of the conversation thread. The scores may provide a rank for each of the extracted context attributes. A presentation of a user interface of a communication tool may be modified based on the one or more scored context attributes.

The present invention discloses a regex matching method and system, and relates to the field of computer technologies. The method includes: sorting multiple regexes into several regex groups, where all regexes in one regex group include a common string, which is known as a generic string; compiling each regex group into a DFA, and setting up a correlation between the generic string of each regex group and the DFA; matching to-be-matched data streams with the generic string respectively, and using the matched generic string as a matched string; obtaining a DFA corresponding to the matched string; and performing regex matching for the to-be-matched data streams according to the DFA, and outputting a matching result. The embodiments of the present invention shorten the data loading process, decrease the time consumed by data loading, and improve the matching performance.

The present invention generally is directed to a system, method and article of constructing queries from a set of query conditions. The query conditions are grouped using logical operators to generate a database query. Query conditions within a group may be connected using a logical “OR” operator and groups of query conditions may be connected using a logical “AND” operator. Once generated, the database query may be presented to a user for review.

Methods, systems and articles of manufacture consistent with the present invention configure a computing system with a logging service that interacts with implementation objects associated with particular types of storage devices through a storage interface. The implementation objects may include processes used to access the storage devices during logging operations. The logging service may also be configured to adjust which storage device is to be used for logging operations without restarting the computing system. This adjustment may be made through a property file that includes properties specific to individual types of storage devices. The property file may be modified to include new properties by a system administrator or by the logging service during runtime operations of the computing system. The new properties may designate new storage devices to be used by the logging service to perform subsequent logging operations.

The method is characterized by collecting the position information and the WiFi information of a mobile terminal when thewake-up operation of the bus code is detected; if the position information and the WiFi information are collected, searching a bus site set matching with the WiFi information from the mapping databaseof the bus sites and WiFi; then, searching the matched bus site from the bus site set; and finally, using the type of the matched bus site to switch the bus code. The bus site is matched with the WIFI to realize accurate identification from the mobile terminal to the bus site. The bus code is automatically switched under the condition that the bus site is accurately identified, and the probability of manually switching the bus code is reduced. Under the condition that the WiFi information of the mobile terminal is not collected, the type of the matched bus site of the mobile terminal is predicted by using a riding preference model, and the accuracy of prediction is improved. And then, the bus code is switched through using the type of the matched bus site so as to reduce the probability of manually switching the bus code.
