Abstract

The invention provides a method for treating nitrophenol wastewater, and relates to the technical field of treatment of organic chemical wastewater. The wastewater is treated by means of combination of microwave and a Fenton agent, the biodegradability of the wastewater is improved, and an effluent can be directly chemically treated. After the combination treatment, the removal rate of COD in thewastewater is up to 85%. The biodegradability analysis of the oxidized effluent shows that BOD/COD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand/Chemical Oxygen Demand) is equal to 0.35, thereby proving that the oxidized effluent is suitable for the biochemical treatment. The method is an environment-friendly wastewater treatment method, and is suitable for treating the wastewater containing nitrophenol at the medium concentration. The effect on treating the nitrophenol wastewater is good, the reaction is mild, and the operation is simple and convenient.
