Abstract

The invention aims to provide a method and equipment for performing refresh control on an electronic book. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring user reading speed information of a usercorresponding to a current being-read electronic book, wherein the user reading speed information is greater than normal reading speed information; determining refresh configuration information corresponding to the electronic book according to the user reading speed information; performing refresh control on the electronic book according to the refresh configuration information. Compared with theprior art, the method and equipment in the scheme have the advantages that the user is efficiently helped to increase the user reading speed, using experience of the user is guaranteed, and power of the system is saved.
