[0047] writing norms

[0048] Begin the description by introducing writing conventions. The lower case "t" represents a point in time; the upper case "T" represents the time interval (ie, duration) between two points in time; and "θ" represents the temperature in degrees Celsius °C. Indexes "i" and "j" indicate that certain elements may be available in plural. Index "i" represents a number of N structural elements, and index "j" represents a number of physical properties. The term "container" includes equipment used for transportation or storage, such as packages, mailers, boxes, cartons, and the like. The term "arrangement" stands for a combination of two units, for example a sensor unit with a transmitter unit. The state value of a container is given by a capitalized word such as FUNCTION, and a state value having a representation as computer data is given by a capitalized word followed by an asterisk such as FUNCTION*. Material class and container class are indicated by #1

Abstract

A transport container (100) for transporting an object (105) has an object location (104) to receive the object (105) and a vacuum insulation panel VIP (102-i) to thermally insulate the object location (104). A sensor unit (120-i) in the VIP provides a panel condition signal (PCS, 125-i) that corresponds to a measurement value of a physical property of the VIP. The physical property influences thetemperature of the object (theta OBJECT). A short-distance transmitter unit (130-i) transmits a first coding (135-i) of the PCS inside the Container (100), a long-distance transmitter unit (140) transmits a second coding (145) of the PCS to a remote server (200) for processing the PSC. The server (200) determines a representation of an Operation State of the transport container, wherein the operation state is related to the temperature of the object (theta OBJECT). The material of the VIP is classified and differentiated so that transmitting parameters depend on the material.
