Abstract

The invention discloses a method for changing the attribute of a DCH and a device thereof. The method comprises the steps that: an RNC causes an RL reconfiguration preparing message to carry with a one-way/bi-directional attribute message to be changed of the DCH by a DCH one-way indicator, sends the RL reconfiguration preparing message to a Node B and sends an RL reconfiguration enforcement message to the Node B after receiving a response message of RL reconfiguration preparation; the node B modifies the current one-way/bi-directional attribute of the DCH according to the received one-way/bi-directional attribute message to be changed of the DCH. The device comprises an RNC and a Node B, wherein, the RNC comprises a DCH one-way indicator setting unit and a sending unit, and the Node B comprises a receiving unit and an attribute changing unit. By utilizing the method or the device of the invention, the current one-way/bi-directional attribute of the DCH can be changed directly without deleting an old DCH and establishing a new DCH when the data transmission manner of the DCH is required to be changed, thereby simplifying the realization of an access section of a network and UE and improving the efficiency and performance of the whole system.
