Benefits of technology

This technology helps reduce signal transmission from one device (the serving) that's connected with another device called the destination). When this happens without any new messages being sent between them, they are stopped by giving up some spare time on their own devices instead. By doing this, these signals will be reduced or eliminated altogether, allowing both parties involved to communicate more efficiently together at once.

Problems solved by technology

This patented method solves issues related to improving communication quality while minimizing delays caused by transmission signals being lost through various paths such as wired connections and radio links.

Abstract

The invention discloses an interference optimization method when in cell switching, comprising the following steps: after initiating a cell switching process, a radio network controller (RNC) sends areconfiguration message to UE and sends a special burst control frame to a base station where a source cell is located; the special burst control frame carries indicating information for stopping sending descending special burst actively, and the base station stops sending the downstream special burst actively when the indicating information does not have downstream data; after the switching is infailure, the RNC sends the special burst control frame to the base station, the special burst control frame carries indicating information for restoring to send the downstream special burst actively, and the base station sends the downstream special burst actively when the indicating information does not have the downstream data. The interference optimization method can improve switching successrate.
