Abstract

The invention relates to an image rapid edge extraction algorithm used in a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) system. By utilizing a method for overlaying and comparing adjacent segments, two end points of the segment and two end points of the adjacent segment are subjected to comparison and calculation, and the target attribute marking can be rapidly carried out; meanwhile, a data set of a target edge point is obtained. Due to adoption of the method, image data is read continuously, the reading efficiency of a memory is greatly improved and the whole algorithm efficiency is effectively improved. The method can be used in an image analyzing system based on DSP and can greatly improve the image target marking and target edge extracting efficiency, and the video image analysis efficiency of 2 million pixels every second reaches 10 frames to 15 frames.
