Problems solved by technology

However, the current coverage calculation method for corner coverage has many limitations. The camera model and the coverage object do not use the 3D model at the same time, and the monitoring direction is specialized, and the coverage in the vertical direction is not discussed.
[0004] In summary, the existing coverage calculation methods either do not conform to the actual situation, or are not universal, and are difficult to apply to multi-view video surveillance systems

Example Embodiment

[0023] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments, but the protection scope of the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments.

[0024] The monitoring object in this embodiment can be generalized into a rectangular parallelepiped with a length, width and height of 2a*2b*H according to actual conditions (such as a shopping mall building). The three-dimensional directed camera model is defined as a five-element array C i (n i ,α i ,β i ,λ i ,γ i ). Where n i =(x i ,y i ,z i ) Is the space coordinate of monitoring node i; α i Is the monitoring direction vector The included angle with the Z axis (also called the pitch angle), β i Is the angle between the projection of the direction vector on the X-Y plane and the X axis; λ i And γ i They are the field angles of the monitoring direction vector in the vertical and horizontal directions. Three-dimensional directed camera model such as figure 1 Shown. R in the figure

Abstract

The invention discloses a 3D coverage rate calculation method suitable for a multi-view-point video monitoring system, comprising steps of establishing a 3D camera model according to camera parameters, determining whether the camera can effectively cover a cuboid-shaped model coverage object, projecting the camera and the cuboid-shaped model coverage object in a horizontal plane under a condition that effective coverage can be performed, performing calculation on a 3D coverage angle formed between the camera and the cuboid-shaped model coverage object, performing calculation through obtaining an union set of coverage angles of a plurality of cameras to solve a set of 3D coverage rates for the coverage object by a set of cameras. The cameras and the coverage objects are 3D models which conform to a practical condition. The input of the coverage rate calculation method includes the given coverage object and related parameters of the camera. The 3D coverage rate calculation method is easy to implement and calculate, high in calculation efficiency and easy to use, and is universal and general.
