The identification method of the target device comprises the following steps that firstly, the control device detects a flashing sequence generated by the target device, wherein the flashing sequence is obtained through the method that the target device conducts light modulation on light waves of a light source of the target device through identification information of the target device; secondly, the control device conducts demodulation on the detected flashing sequence so that the identification information of the target device can be obtained; thirdly, the control device judges whether the obtained identification information exists in an association table storing identification information of a plurality of known target devices and attribute information corresponding to the identification information in advance or not, if not, the fourth step is executed, and if yes, the fifth step is executed; fourthly, according to a user request, the identification information and the attribute information corresponding to the identification information of the target device are loaded through the control device in the association table; fifthly, the attribute information of the target device is displayed through the control device. By the adoption of the technical scheme, identification of the target device is easily achieved in a user-friendly mode.
