Abstract

The invention discloses a method for determining intersection delay. The method includes classified sampling survey on intersections, classifying the intersections according to road level and lane quantities of the intersecting roads, calculating intersection turning delay according to different classification and different turning directions, calculating the average vehicle delay time of an intersection according to the turning of incoming lanes, establishing intersection turning delay punishment functions calculating turning angles for all identified road intersection turning, calling intersection turning delay punishment functions, assigning according to the road types and intersection identified turning, and determining intersection delay according to the intersection turning delay punishment functions. The method can be combined with traffic analysis software and improves intersection delay calculating precision.
