The method involves a cloud deck, a system for recognizing the number of people on site, a tracking control unit, a high-definition variable-focus camera capable of rotating by 360 degrees and a video processing unit, wherein the system for recognizing the number of people on site comprises a far infrared low-light-level high-speed high-definition camera, a main server and an image recognizing system, the tracking control unit comprises a collecting module, a converting module, a control module, a terminal communication module and a display module, and the terminal communication module is in communication with the high-definition variable-focus camera capable of rotating by 360 degrees. By means of the method, the main purposes of accurately recognizing the number of people on site and automatically controlling the cameras are achieved, the shot target can be accurately detected, and quite strong interference resistance is achieved.
