Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for lightening a screen, for solving the technical problem that in related technologies, a terminal device often cannot lighten the screen in time in a scene of needing to rapidly lighten the screen due to the fact that a distance sensor is slow in response speed. The method comprises the steps of when the terminal device is in a call state, acquiring a first trigger command for opening a dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) function of the terminal device, and executing the first trigger command; determining that the DTMF function is opened, and closing the distance sensor of the terminal device; and lightening the screen of the terminal device. When the terminal device opens the DTMF function, the distance sensor of the terminal device is closed, the screen of the terminal device is lightened, and the problem that the screen cannot be lightened in time when the screen needs to be rapidly lightened is solved.
