Abstract

The invention relates to a data issuing method and device. The method comprises the steps that a first data request, sent by a browser client side, for a target application is received; the data request carries version information; a second data request of the target application is sent to a platform server; data, sent by the platform server and run on platforms with different versions, of the target application is received; according to the version information, the data, run on a target platform, of the target application is sent to the browser client side, wherein the target platform is a platform corresponding to a version number and version information. By means of the data issuing method and device, through service can be entered from the browser client side, a user can start an uninstalled application from the browser client side within a second, can search for a webpage on the browser client side and can also search for the through service, and the user experience is improved; meanwhile, the version information can verify data transmission of the target application. Thus the function of entering the through service from the browser client side is achieved.
