Abstract

The invention relates to a vein-iodine rapid detection and diagnosis method for citrus yellow shoot. The method comprises following steps of (1) sampling: randomly collecting a mature leaf of a to-be-detected citrus plant; (2) scraping median vein epidermis of the leaf, and making bast exposed; (3) wetting a cotton swab with 1.5-5.0% of iodine and uniformly applying the iodine onto median vein bast; and (4) observing a result and diagnosing: waiting for 50 seconds to 3 minutes, wherein if the median vein turns blue, the leaf is positive and the tested citrus plant suffers citrus yellow shoot,if the median vein does not change the color, the leaf is negative and the tested citrus plant is not affected with candida-tus Liberibacter species of the citrus yellow shoot and does suffer the citrus yellow shoot.
