An SMI-S Client is used for acquiring the data of thestorage equipment containing the Embedded SMI-S Server so as to realize the data acquisition of the Embedded Model. The SMI-S Client is used for sending a request to the SMI-S Provider to obtain the data of the heterogeneous storage without the Embedded SMI-S Server so as to realize the data acquisition of the Proxy Model. By using the method, data acquisition can be performed on heterogeneous storage only by deploying one set of acquisition program. The data is stored in the database, so that the resource use conditions and performance conditions of all the storage are convenient to check. The operation and maintenance efficiency is greatly improved.
