Benefits of technology

This new technology has several benefits that are described below for better performance than previous methods.

Problems solved by technology

This patented problem addressed in this patents relates to improving the accuracy and efficiency of identifying water gauges during shipping operations without relying solely upon visual inspections or manual searching techniques like X ray fluorescence scanning. However, current technologies require expensive equipment and may take longer than necessary due to their limitations with respect to specific factors like weather condition at sea level.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detecting a ship water gauge line. The method comprises the steps: acquiring an original image containing ship water gauge mark information through a mobile terminal; respectively inputting the original image into a horizontal line identification model and a water gauge mark identification model which are constructed in advance based on a depth separable convolution module to obtain a first image marked with a ship body water body boundary line and a second image marked with water gauge characters and contents thereof; and detecting the actual height of theship waterline according to the information marked in the first image and the second image. According to the invention, a lightweight deep learning network is used, and the detection precision and the detection speed are ensured at the same time, so that the collected image is processed at the mobile terminal.
