Abstract

An IO merging function is set in an RBD layer of a distributed cluster, and when the IO merging function and a sequential read-write function are enabled, whether received to-be-processed IO meets a merging condition or not is judged; If yes, all the IOs meeting the merging condition are arranged in a target queue according to the size sequence of the IO timestamps, then adjacent IOs in the target queue are merged to obtain target IOs of the same size, and the target IOs of the same size are transmitted to an OSD layer of the distributed cluster, so that the number and the transmission frequency of the IOs transmitted between the RBD layer and the OSD layer are reduced, therefore, the transmission delay between the RBD layer and the OSD layer is reduced, and the IO processing performance is improved.
