Problems solved by technology

To complicate matters, many of these electronic routing platforms have been customized to the specific needs of a transit hub.
Incompatible routing platforms can lead to technical challenges in creating a unified platform capable of coordinating operations performed at one transportation hub with operations performed at another transportation hub

[0018] The subject matter of the technology described herein is specifically described to meet statutory requirements. However, the description itself is not intended to limit the scope of this patent. Rather, the inventors have contemplated that the claimed subject matter may also be implemented in other ways, to include different steps or combinations of steps similar to those described in this document, in conjunction with other prior or future technologies. Furthermore, although the terms "step" and "block" may be used herein to imply various elements of the method employed, these terms should not be construed as implying that the order of the various steps is explicitly described herein unless and unless the order of the various steps is explicitly described Any particular order between the various steps disclosed. Also, although terms in singular or plural forms may be used herein, the use of singular / plural shall not be construed as excluding plural / singular unless and...

Abstract

Systems and methods are described for enforcing consistency of data between disparate systems of a transportation network with verified transactions. Embodiments include receiving a transaction that is generated based on a command indicating an intent to transfer an asset from the originating hub to a destination hub. The generated transaction can include a sender identifier associated with the originating hub, an asset identifier associated with the asset, and a detected location of the asset. The received transaction is communicated to any node of the plurality of nodes that are configured store it onto a distributed ledger based on a determined verification that the included detected location corresponds to a location associated with the included sender identifier.

Description

Background technique [0001] Assets such as vehicles or goods are often transferred between transport hubs in a transport network. For example, one shipping hub can transfer a tractor-trailer carrying cargo to another shipping hub. Transportation networks are often complex and difficult to manage using traditional techniques. This is especially true when the network consists of transport hubs operating on independent electronic platforms. To manage these operations, each transit hub may employ a local electronic routing system. However, these existing electronic routing systems have certain limitations. Initially, it is difficult for one routing system to notify another routing system of asset transfers because asset transfers between shipping hubs can get lost through various communication channels or not be reported at all. This introduces contradictory data into the transport network. To complicate matters, many of these electronic routing platforms have been customized...
