active cable and a method thereof. The
active cable comprises a front-end circuit and an output circuit, and the device comprises: a rate detection unit connected to an output of the front-end circuit and configured to detect a current rate of an output
signal of the front-end circuit and compare the current rate with a rate threshold value to obtain a comparison result and a
signal configuration unit that is respectively connected with the rate detection unit and the output circuit and is used for receiving the comparison result from the rate detection unit and according to the comparison result, determining to configure the output circuit with one of a plurality of parameter configurations so as to enable the output circuit to carry out
data transmission in a working state adaptive to the current rate. According to the scheme of the invention, the compatibility of the
active cable can be improved.
