2 results about "Electrospray" patented technology

The name electrospray is used for an apparatus that employs electricity to disperse a liquid or for the fine aerosol resulting from this process. High voltage is applied to a liquid supplied through an emitter (usually a glass or metallic capillary). Ideally the liquid reaching the emitter tip forms a Taylor cone, which emits a liquid jet through its apex. Varicose waves on the surface of the jet lead to the formation of small and highly charged liquid droplets, which are radially dispersed due to Coulomb repulsion.

Catalyst with precious metal nanoparticles carried by ceramic precursor, and preparation method and application of catalyst

The invention discloses a catalyst with precious metal nanoparticles carried by a ceramic precursor, and a preparation method and application of the catalyst, comprising influence of different receiving devices in an electrospray technology on particle reception, Si-H bond activity determination, carrying of precious metal nanoparticles and application of the catalyst in dye degradation. Dye degradation involves exploring influence of different influencing factors on degrading efficiency, including temperature, pH value, reaction time, ultra violet light and the like. According to the preparation method, the ceramic precursor is adopted as a catalyst carrier, the electrospray technology is used for preparing the catalyst carrier, an ionic liquid is used for reception, and microspheric particles having a particle size of about 2 to about 4 microns can be obtained while loss is reduced. The catalyst prepared by the preparation method has the advantages that the prepared the ceramic precursor polymeric microspheres can maintain Si-H reactive bond on polythene silazane and can carry platinum nanoparticles, and the catalyst has great degrading efficiency and reusability while being applied to rhodamine dye degradation.
