1 results about "Helianthus" patented technology

Helianthus or sunflower (/ˌhiːliˈænθəs/) is a genus of plants comprising about 70 species. Except for three species in South America, all Helianthus species are native to North America and Central America. The common name, "sunflower", typically refers to the popular annual species Helianthus annuus, or the common sunflower, whose round flower heads in combination with the ligules look like the sun. This and other species, notably Jerusalem artichoke (H. tuberosus), are cultivated in temperate regions and some tropical regions as food crops for humans, cattle, and poultry, and as ornamental plants. The species H. annuus typically grows during the summer and into early fall, with the peak growth season being mid-summer.

The invention discloses a sunflower hybrid pollination breeding method under southern humid and hot conditions. The method comprises the following steps: selecting a land which is relatively flat in terrain, medium or above in fertility and good in drainage; selecting full seeds, and drying the seeds in the sun for 2-3 days before planting so as to enhance the activity of enzymes in the seeds and improve the germination potential and the germination rate; generally applying 0.5-1.0 ton/mu of organic fertilizer, 10-15 kg/mu of calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, 10-15 kg/mu of urea and 20-30 kg/mu of potassium sulfate type compound fertilizer as base fertilizer; and adopting a seedling transplanting or breathing type precision dibbler direct sowing mode, and carrying out spring sowing, film mulching and weed suppression, wherein the planting row spacing is 50 * 55 cm, and the planting spacing is 45 * 50 cm in autumn. According to the scientific sunflower hybrid seed production method, through the technical means of land selection and preparation, seed selection, fertilization, planting and the like, the sunflowers are hybridized, so that the disease and pest resistance of the sunflowers is enhanced; and the cultivated sunflower variety is suitable for being planted in southern humid and hot conditions, and has the advantages of non-high susceptibility to other diseases, high-temperature heat damage resistance, excellent comprehensive agronomic characters and wide adaptability.
