The invention provides an image-based mine dust monitoring method. The monitoring method is characterized in that an
open air chamber is adopted; an
air pump and dust treatment equipment are not required;
image acquisition equipment is used for acquiring a
light source image; and dust monitoring is performed by using a difference value between an
infrared light brightness value and a
blue light brightness value. The interference of the sensitivity change of a color camera, mist and pollutants with the
system monitoring value can be effectively restrained; zero setting and
system sensitivity calibration are not required; high sensitivity is achieved; and convenience is brought to mounting and maintenance. The invention also provides a method for automatically cleaning a lens cover and a
light source cover. Through adoption of the image-based mine dust monitoring method, the accuracy of
system monitoring data is further ensured. The image-based mine dust monitoring method is particularlysuitable for a downhole dusty environment, and has the a wide application space.
