The invention relate to a novel light bicycle tire which comprises a left tire bead portion, a right tire bead portion, side wall portions and a tire tread portion. The side wall portions extend from the tire bead portions to the radial outer side of the tire, and the tire tread portion is in bridge connection with the two side wall portions. The tire tread portion comprises a crown in contact with the ground and tire shoulders connected with the side wall portions. The novel light bicycle tire further comprises a cord fabric layer folded back to wrap the tire bead portions for a circle, and the edge of the cord fabric layer is folded upwards around a bead core to be anchored in the two tire shoulders in a wrapping mode.
