Benefits of technology

This patented describes an experiment designed to study different types of crops without being affected from overwintered snowfall. It involves randomly selecting specific areas on top of each other called testing sites, which helps determine if any plants have been able to survive under certain weather patterns such as winter rain. By doing this, it provides valuable data about crop yields and quality traits like those associated with driedlands. Overall, these experiments provide technical means for studying various aspects of sugarcancer development and improving their resistance against environmental stress factors.

Problems solved by technology

Technically speaking, the problem addressed in this patents relates to identifying sweet potatoes grown in arbor regions where severe weather causes extreme deteriorations in productivity due to reduced hydraulicity and nutrient availabilities. Current methods involve testing each individual grape must produce enough sap from its own stem to prevent excessive loss of moisture while still producing effective amounts of sucrose. These tests require long periods of rainwater exposures over several months but may result in delayed responses compared to those obtained earlier. Additionally, current techniques involving analysis based upon physical traits like photosynthesis and cellular biolithography often fail because these measures take longer to become established even within 2 years.

Embodiment Construction

[0014] Concrete steps of the present invention are as follows:

[0015] The first step is to choose the dry slope land in the natural arid area as the test site; bury a thick film 1 meter deep around the test site, fully waterproof and water-proof; and, do not carry out any artificial irrigation during the entire sugarcane growth period. The sugarcane varieties with high yield and stable yield in dry land were used as control varieties. The test period was two years for new planting and one year for perennial roots.

[0016] Under the so-called natural drought conditions, that is, there is no greenhouse, the plastic film forcibly separates rainfall and normal sunlight, and there is no obstacle to limit the spatial distribution of sugarcane roots and leaves. Growth requires 800mm of annual rainfall.

[0017] The purpose of burying thick film around the test site is to fully waterproof it and prevent water from entering the test site caused by other factors such as irrigation by

Abstract

The invention relates to a design method for the evaluation test of the high and stable dry-land yield of a sugarcane breed. A dry sloping field which has the annual rainfall below the natural drought condition suitable for the growth of sugarcane is taken as an evaluation test field; a thick film is buried with the depth of 1m around the test field; no artificial irrigation is carried out during the whole growing period of sugarcane; the breed is compared with generalized breeds with good, high and stable dry-land yield; the test period is two years for newly-planted sugarcane and one year for perennial-root sugarcane; and the plot arrangement for two times of newly-planted sugarcane adopts the completely randomized block design. The method ensures the full play of the drought escape and resistance of the tested breed through the three measures of artificially selecting the naturally drought area as the test field, separating water around the test field and carrying out no artificial irrigation. Through adopting the breeds with good, high and stable dry-land yield as comparison breeds and carrying out the two-year newly-planted and one-year perennial-root sugarcane test, the method ensures the full play of the tested breed with high and stable dry-land yield and has high comparability.
