Abstract

The invention discloses a method and device for establishing connection. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving a call set-up request; obtaining constraint information of a head node and a tail node on a link in response to the call set-up request; judging whether the constraint information of the head node and the tail node meets a preset condition; and if yes, establishing connection. The method and the device have the beneficial effects of solving the problem of connection establishment failure as a result that the constraint information does not meet conditions in the prior art and ensuring normal service connection establishment, thus improving the control capability of an ASON (Automatically Switched Optical Network) on a transport plane.
