Abstract

The invention discloses an image formation device and an image formation method. The image formation device comprises a first interface unit, an image formation control unit and a timer, wherein the first interface unit is used for connecting the image formation device and a drive device of the image formation device, the image control unit receives data from the drive device of the image formation device, the control unit proceeds an image processing if the data received is page data, the timer times a duration from the latest time the control unit receives the page data or virtual data, the duration is taken as a first duration, and the virtue data is data used for preventing the image formation device from stopping a current image formation work because data are not received when a first predetermine time is exceeded. According to the image formation device and the image formation method, misjudgment by the image formation device does not occur even under the condition that a rending duration of certain page data is long.
