Abstract

The object of the application is to provide a bid control method and apparatus. The method includes: obtaining a current effect index of target information in a bid word according to bid information of the target information in the bid word; if the current effect index is lower than an expected effect index of the target information in the bid word, obtaining the optimal bid ranking for enabling the target information to reach the expected effect index in the bid word; and bidding the bid word according to the bid price corresponding to the optimal bid ranking. Compared with the prior art, the current delivery effect of the target information is obtained, an expected delivery effect is preset, if the current delivery effect does not reach the expected delivery effect, the optimal bid ranking for enabling the target information to reach the expected delivery effect is automatically calculated, and the bid word is bid according to the bid price corresponding to the optimal bid ranking, therefore, the advertisement delivery effect is guaranteed, only minimum price adjustment is needed, and the lowest delivery cost is guaranteed.
