Abstract

The invention relates to a roadway congestion index prediction system (including a vehicle-mounted terminal), an analysis method and a prediction method. The roadway congestion index prediction system comprises a server and a vehicle-mounted terminal. The vehicle-mounted terminal comprises a controller, a wireless communication device and a positioning device. The positioning device is a high-precision multi-source positioning device. The vehicle-mounted terminal transmits the positioning information to the server. According to the technical scheme of the roadway congestion index prediction system, the server positions a vehicle on a lane through acquiring the high-precision and all-territory accurate real-time position of the vehicle running on the lane. Meanwhile, the server calculates the real-time congestion index of the lane/road according to preset road occupied coefficients for various types of vehicles. Moreover, the server predicts a future congestion index according to recorded historical congestion indexes. Therefore, the traffic management and the traffic navigation are facilitated.
