BIM-based multi-type heating and ventilation pipe classifying design method

A design method and multi-type technology, applied in pipeline layout, design optimization/simulation, computer-aided design, etc., can solve the inconvenience of single-system procurement, construction, maintenance, difficulty in distinguishing connectors of different systems, and confusion of various pipelines and other problems to achieve the effect of facilitating construction and modification, improving quality and efficiency, and reducing errors

Benefits of technology

The present in this patented technology divides up each item's color based on its own system. Each line represents an image that shows all things together with their corresponding attributes such as size or shape. These images help users see what they have seen more easily than if looking down from above them. They don’t know everything about how it works but rather just tell us which parts were shown first. By simplifying categorization systems like Yelloworld (a type of visual representation), these techniques reduce error-prone data entry processes while still providing accurate results. Additionally, there may save significant amounts of money compared to traditional ways of communications. Overall, this technology helps streamline organization and improve communication across various industries.

Problems solved by technology

This patented describes how BIM (building informational software) works with other tools like CAD or 3D printing. However there may also exist connections made from materials such as plastic pipe lines which make it hard-to identify each line separately due to their similarity. Additionally, some parts have similar connectivity options but they don't match up well enough even if connected together correctly.

Abstract

A BIM-based multi-type heating and ventilation pipe classifying design method comprises the following steps that I, pipelines are drawn in the Revit software; II, the pipelines are systematically distinguished; III, system types are distinguished; and IV, pipeline connection modes are distinguished. The colors of the pipelines are distinguished systematically, items are checked clearly and efficiently, the communication quality and efficiency are also improved, material loss caused by project errors is reduced, the pipelines and the connection modes are named, information is sorted advantageously, establishment and modification of a model are convenient, and in the construction and implementation stage, while the model clearly and accurately expresses the design intent, a reasonable, safe and economical building mode can be judged in the construction process.
