Benefits of technology

This new technology helps detect changes caused during breathing or other respiratory processes that may affect healthcare workers (such as nurses) who work at hospitals. It uses sensors attached to certain parts on the body called the chest wall to count how many times they have taken up too much oxygen before releasing it back after being released. By analyzing this data overtime, researchers found correlations between these factors and potential problems such as asthenia attacks. These technical improvements help medical professionals better diagnose diseases more efficiently while reducing their exposure risk.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed by this patents relates to improving the precision and reliability of measuring pulmonary functions during medical procedures such as surgeries or treatments for diseases like pneumonia caused by viruses (influenza). Current methods require complicated equipment and may be affected by factors other than just respiratory activity.

Abstract

The invention discloses a post-operation recovery detection device and method used for a lung cancer operation in the thoracic surgery department. The device comprises a collecting input unit and a detecting output unit; the collecting input unit comprises a body box, an exhaling mouth, a collecting chamber, a gas storage chamber, a fan blade device and an extruding device; the detecting output unit comprises a base, a gas detecting chamber, an MCU processor, an angle sensor, an integrated gas sensor, a battery, a voice player, a Bluetooth module and a display screen. Exhaled gas is used for driving fan blades to rotate to drive a crankshaft to rotate; counting is performed through the angle sensor, and the flowing speed of the gas can be calculated according to a rotation number within unit time. Gas discharging of an air bag and rotating speed of the crankshaft are correlated, the early period, the middle period and the late period of exhaling of patients can be accurately judged according to exhaling conditions of different patients, segmented statistics and evaluation are performed on the periods of the patients, and therefore the accuracy of the detection device is improved greatly.
