Abstract

The invention provides an EDID processing method, a micro-control unit and an optical fiber sending box. The method comprises the steps of enabling an MCU to detect the potential of a first port of adetection and discrimination circuit; if the potential of the first port is a low potential, determining that the signal source equipment is connected to the DVI connector, controlling the switching circuit, communicating the signal source equipment with the memory, and reading the EDID; if the potential of the first port is still high after the preset time, pausing to detect the potential of thefirst port; detecting a second port potential of the detection discrimination circuit; and if the potential of the second port is the low potential, determining that the display device is connected tothe DVI connector, reading the EDID of the display device by the MCU, and storing the EDID in the memory. According to the scheme, the MCU detects the potentials of the first port and the second port, determines that the signal source device or the display device is accessed to the optical fiber sending box, and performs EDID processing. The EDID does not need to be learned manually by using a key, so that the stability of the optical fiber sending box and the success rate of learning the EDID are improved.
