The invention discloses a hot plug processing method. The method comprises the following steps: monitoring a user operation behavior of a graphical control interface; obtaining an IO card hot plug request, and determining a target IO card corresponding to the IO card hot plug request; and sending a hot plug button pressing signal corresponding to the target IO card to the Switch by utilizing the CPLD so as to realize accident-free hot plug. In this method, when the IO card needs to be hot-plugged, operation can be carried out on the graphical control interface of the BMC, the BMC can obtain the IO card hot plug request, then the CPLD is controlled, the hot plug button pressing signal generated by the hot plug button corresponding to the real case source target IO card can be sent to the switch, and finally hot plug without accidents is achieved.
