3 results about "Current loop" patented technology

In electrical signalling an analog current loop is used where a device must be monitored or controlled remotely over a pair of conductors. Only one current level can be present at any time. A major application of current loops is the industry de facto standard 4–20 mA current loop for process control applications, where they are extensively used to carry signals from process instrumentation to PID controllers, SCADA systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). They are also used to transmit controller outputs to the modulating field devices such as control valves. These loops have the advantages of simplicity and noise immunity, and have a large international user and equipment supplier base. Some 4–20 mA field devices can be powered by the current loop itself, removing the need for separate power supplies, and the "smart" HART protocol uses the loop for communications between field devices and controllers. Various automation protocols may replace analog current loops, but 4–20 mA is still a principal industrial standard.

The invention discloses a three-stage synchronous motor rotor position estimation method based on a direct decoupling mode. A main exciter of a three-stage synchronous motor uses single-phase alternating current excitation with constant frequency, and a second harmonic wave generated by a rotating rectifier as a high-frequency signal is indirectly injected into an excitation winding of a main generator, a second-order generalized integrator is used for extracting a high-frequency response signal and an orthogonal signal thereof from current loop output controlled by starting of the main generator, high-frequency sine and cosine signals extracted from a stator side of a main exciter are combined, a decoupling signal synchronous with the high-frequency response signal is generated through analytical operation, a heterodyne method is combined for modulation, and a rotor position angle of the three-stage synchronous motor is estimated. According to the rotor position estimation method provided by the invention, the decoupling signal synchronous with the high-frequency response signal can be accurately generated, the calculation amount is small, implementation is easy, the complexity of a motor control algorithm can be effectively reduced, and the accuracy of the obtained position estimation angle is relatively high.

The invention provides a current loop communication bus and method. The current loop communication bus comprises a power node which is used for supplying power to a node on a bus, and a plurality of communication nodes which are used for communicating with each other through the bus. The power node is provided with a first end and a second end. Each communication node is provided with a current input end, a current output end, a first cascading end, and a second cascading end. In all communication nodes, the current input end of the rear node is connected to the first cascading end of the front node, and the second cascading end of the rear node is connected to the current output end of the front node. Moreover, the current input end of the first node is connected with the first end of the power node, and the current output end of the last node is connected with the second end of the power node, thereby forming a current loop.
