The invention discloses a method for improving the performance of a superplastic formed component material. The method comprises the following steps of 1, installing two random electrodes in a formingmold, connecting the two random electrodes to a pulsed power supply to form a conductive path in the area, between the two random electrodes, of a superplastic formed component; 2, putting a plate blank of the superplastic formed component into the forming mold, and starting heating; conducting heat preservation for 10-30 min when the temperature reaches the superplastic forming temperature of the material; turning on an air inlet valve, and introducing argon at the pressure speed of 0.03-0.05 MPa/min; conducting pressure maintaining for 10-30 min to complete superplastic forming when the airpressure reaches the forming pressure intensity; and 3, turning on the pulsed power supply at the voltage of 0-150 V, the frequency of 100-800 Hz and the duration time of 20-60 s. By means of the technical scheme, the hollowing-out size and area can be effectively reduced, and the performance of the component is improved.
