The invention discloses a continuously variable transmission. The continuously variable transmission comprises a first shaft, a second shaft, a pair of driving rings and a control mechanism, wherein the first shaft rotates by carrying a first disc; the second shaft rotates by carrying a pair of second discs, and the second discs are arranged in a spaced mode along the second shaft; the first shaft and the second shaft make the first disc be located between the second discs and overlap with the second discs, and the surfaces, opposite to the second discs, of the first disc incline; the driving rings are located between the first disc and the second discs located at the two opposite sides of the first disc, and the end surfaces of the driving rings make contact with the surfaces, opposite to the second discs, of the first disc, so that power is transmitted between the first shaft and the second shaft; and the control mechanism is used for driving the driving rings to move relative to the first disc and the second discs, so that the relative radial positions of the driving rings, the first disc and the second discs are changed, and accordingly the speed of the continuously variable transmission is changed.
