2 results about "Rotary inertia" patented technology

Rotary Inertia or rotational inertia is a further analogy of inertia in which a rotating body maintains its state of uniform rotational motion. Thus its angular momentum would be unchanged, unless an external torque were to be applied. Rotary inertia often has hidden practical consequences. In the braking of a railway train, arresting the linear motion would require that the substantial rotational inertia of the motors must be converted to some other forms of energy, thus causing acoustic vibration of the wheels and frictional heating of the brakes on the railway carriage. Rotary Inertia is also found in the Timoshenko beam theory, a theory for a model that considers rotary inertia and shear stress to describe the vibrations of thick bars, which are part of the mallet subfamily of the percussion family of musical instruments.

Operation safety evaluation method and system of railway freight vehicle

The invention discloses an operation safety evaluation method and system of a railway freight vehicle. According to the method, a mass, a centroid position and a rotary inertia parameter of a vehiclebody loaded with cargos are calculated based on data collected by a data acquisition device; the mass, the centroid position and the rotary inertia parameter of the vehicle body loaded with cargos areinputted into a vehicle-track coupling dynamics model as dynamic parameters; a required wheel-rail contact force is calculated by combining the running condition of the vehicle; a derailment coefficient, an overturning coefficient and a wheel load shedding rate of the vehicle are respectively calculated; and then whether the derailment coefficient, the overturning coefficient and the wheel load shedding rate meet corresponding safety conditions is determined to determine whether the safety index of the vehicle is qualified. Therefore, because of consideration of the characteristic of the loaddiscrete distribution of the railway freight vehicle, the running safety state of the railway freight vehicle can be evaluated accurately and effectively, so that the risk of overturning and derailment of the railway freight vehicle is reduced.

The invention discloses a controllable magnetic field modulation axial magnetic flux generator combined with a magnetic suspension and belongs to the technical field of offshore floating type vertical axis wind power generation. A double-stator structure is adopted; and the generator consists of an upper stator, a lower stator, a rotor, a permanent magnetic suspension and an electromagnetic suspension. The rotor is provided with a modulation gear, magnetic field modulation is achieved, and the mass of the rotor is reduced, so that the rotor can suspend, and inertia and rotational inertia can be controlled; the upper stator is composed of a generator armature winding and an iron core; the lower stator is a permanent magnet and excitation combined structure; a magnetic field passes through the upper and lower stators and passes through the rotor to form a magnetic path; an air gap and rotor magnetic resistance are basically not changed, so that suspension control and adjustment have no influence on the generator. Hybrid excitation is realized; when an offshore wind power system is completely in a black start state, the permanent magnet of the lower stator can excite the armature of the upper stator after being modulated by the magnetic field under the driving of wind power, and after electric energy is gradually gathered, electrical excitation is applied to realize power output, and the electromagnetic suspension can realize dynamic suspension control along with wind speed change and motor modulation operation.
